The primary duties of the position of Area Coordinator for the open territory are to manage fundraising, board development and programs in Adams County in Indiana and Van Wert County in Ohio assuring that quality service is provided to our customers and organizational goals are met.
Identify programs to fund. Research and identify the corporate foundation and/or individual interests to fund the assigned programs. Provide the necessary tools including proposals, brochures, etc. for solicitation. Provide follow up for all existing proposals.
Assist with the preparation of the income and expense budget and cash flow projections, including the tracking of revenues, expense and budget adjustments.
Develop and/or manage the information system which tracks prospects, solicitors and funding history. Assures that all data is up-to-date and correct. Prepare accurate and timely reports to campaign leadership.
Assist all development related Board Committees in carrying out their specific functions so the goals of the Board can be achieved. Prepare materials for Board and Committee meetings. Assists in identifying prospects for expanding committees and boards.
Organize and qualify the prospect list. Secure the appropriate number of telephone solicitors to make the necessary calls to meet the financial goal. Arranges location. Creates solicitor training packet and conducts training. Secures incentives for participants. Provides a positive environment for solicitors.
Coordinate all fundraising efforts for the area.
Renew commitments of schools/teachers currently involved and recruit new schools/teachers. Develop and delivers all presentations to schools/teachers.
Renew commitments from business leaders who have been consultants and identify/recruit business leaders who have not been involved with the programs in order to secure top caliber consultants and maintain the quality of the programs. Develop and deliver all needed presentations.
Assurance of quality of programs through phone calls, classroom monitoring, participant servicing, and evaluation instruments. Continually provides feedback, program materials and resources to consultants and teachers.
Develop and implement all volunteer orientation programs. Secures location of training, develop orientation materials, schedule volunteers/teachers, order program materials, and distribute evaluation forms.
Develop and implement methods of volunteer recognition. Plan logistics of events(s); inform consultants, teachers, school administrators and business executives of event; plan and distribute appreciation materials.
Work in conjunction with the Boards of Directors to increases public awareness of Junior Achievement programs through presentations, press releases and electronic media.
Submit data entry for class registration, weekly reports, program actuals, and all other required reports to Fort Wayne Headquarters in a timely manner.
Meet with Regional Operations Team on regular basis as well as participate in monthly conference calls.
