Account Representative will be responsible for generating revenue by developing and maintaining client relationships for our Core Business Services division. This includes identifying and qualifying new client opportunities, determining client needs, presenting solutions to address those needs, building and maintaining client relationships, closing new opportunities, and expanding opportunities within existing Core Business Service customers.

Position will be based in the Bloomington office and work normal business hours. Early morning and after-hours schedule may be required for select events.


New Opportunity Sales (40%)

  • Prospect, identify, and qualify new client opportunities
  • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle from potential customer through customer acquisition
  • Create and present formal proposals
  • Close sales by building rapport, relaying company capabilities, and overcoming objections
  • Meet defined sales quotas and goals
  • Report on sales activities and metrics
  • Maintain prospect and opportunity data in customer management tools

Account Management (40%)

  • Build and maintain client relations to facilitate loyalty and client retention
  • Routinely meet with customers to evaluate performance, uncover future needs, and share new solutions
  • Identify strategic clients and clients at risk and create plans for addressing customer requirements
  • Track customer product and service product lifecycle and renewal dates
  • Report customer requirements and initiatives to operations teams where applicable
  • Report on sales activities and metrics
  • Maintain customer and opportunity data in customer management tools

Other (20%)

  • Monitor competitive marketplace and assist with improving our market position
  • Recommend new products and services to appropriate KDV resources
  • Participate in sales and division planning
  • Attend tradeshows, seminars, and other marketing events
  • Facilitate marketing campaign tasks


  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications preferred
  • Service firm experience a plus
  • Technology sales experience a plus


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Customer Resource Management (CRM) application tools
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to build rapport with potential and existing customers
  • Ability to negotiate and close sales
  • Build and manage personal sales pipeline
  • Ability to improve existing processes or develop new processes to make us more efficient
  • High level of professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail
