Management and Team workers
Supervisor (Former Employee), Seminole, OKJune 16, 2014
Pros: i had a very good friend, i found out i had a cousin through marriage while working there.
Cons: poor management, unproperer training of new hires, unproperer discipline to wrong doings with employees such as nc/ns or being late to work, ext...
The General Manager really when training his new management staff he hands down to his management who is new manager themselves. Which I am friends with this manager and have no problems with that what so ever. He did very good with training me with what he knew, but when it come to the rest of my training I was not properly trained and I was very upset – more... and The general manager was always yelling or discussing his personal problems with everyone at work or sitting in his office on Facebook, or Texting his girlfriend or playing video games. either way he treated his job like a Vaction or a therapy session which really became a personal issue with me because it effected my job and not getting my training done for management and was holding me up from my raise and my promotion. This only caused conflict between him and I and the District Manager wouldn't do anything about it. there for I Quit do Personal Problems within the Company and left on good terms but would not go back to KFC so long as that certain manager were there. – less

General Manager (Former Employee), Charlotte, NCJune 12, 2014
Pros: good money, free lunch, bonus program
Cons: long hours, vacation in weeks not days, understaffed management teams
I greatly enjoyed working for KFC corporate. Franchisee's, not so much. The cultures are very different. The work life balance is different. The experience is based on where you land.

A great place to work but not to build a career.
Store management (Former Employee), Milpitas ,CaJune 10, 2014
Pros: health insurance was offerd, good employees chosen to work for kfc
Cons: work holidays
KFC is a good place to work and learn a lot about a franchise business. They give opportunity to grow within the company. Its a fun and entertaining place to work since its all about interacting with costumer's .The hardest part is when employees don't show up to work because the task would be carried over to the other employees.

Pros: non busy days management sent me home early.
Cons: rude customers and satisfying there needs.
Kentucky Fried Chicken was my first job when i was in high school. This job was definitely a great starter job. Management made sure I learned how to greet a customer and service their needs. I was only a cashier running the front and drive through but with this job their was no advancing as a career. Co-workers made this fun and enjoyable. The only – more... hard part was trying to keep up with orders when your breaking down equipment at night. We also have a Taco bell in this location which to me was more enjoyable then playing with chicken. – less

Cashier (Former Employee), Columbus, MSJune 6, 2014
Pros: friendly co-workers
A typical day at work consisted of greeting customers as they entered the workplace, taking orders, and preparing their order. At the end of the work day I usually cleaned the lobby, bathrooms, and etc. While working in the fast food industry, one of my most challenging tasks was being able to multitask and with practice, I learned how to multitask – more... in such a fast pace industry. What I loved most about my job were my co-workers. My co-workers always greeted me with a smile and were always there to help me while I was training. – less

Cashier (Former Employee), Decatur,GeorgiaJune 6, 2014
Pros: providing the best customer service
Cons: no health benifits
AN Typical day at kfc ringing and packing orders within an sixty second time frame while providing the best customer service at an fast pace. I have the importance of being patience and friendly to the customer is goes an long way as well as an smile. Management team was okay just needs to learn the respect of the employee. Co-workers everyone got alone – more... and came together as one team work. The hardest part of this job was trying to learn the position of an shift manager. Most enjoyable part was making the customers happy day in and out. – less

Crew Member/ Assistant Manager (Former Employee), Selma, CAJune 5, 2014
Pros: free lunch
The lack of Manager training (speaking from 1st hand experience) is the major fault with this franchise. In tough situations, it caused stress on myself and my employees and gave the work place a really bad vibe.
