Seeking a smart, highly organized, visually detail-oriented individual to organize purchasing of all materials and manage work flow of 2 employees while working on a variety of simultaneous projects - including beading jewelry. F/T - Long Term position.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Sourcing and purchasing a vast array of jewelry parts -- semi-precious stones and findings
Overseeing the Production Calendar to ensure timely delivery to all customers
Assessing materials required for all outgoing orders and for stock
Quality controlling all incoming and outgoing packages
Managing inventory of both parts and finished products
Updating pricing and items in Quickbooks and on our website
Packing and Shipping orders via UPS both domestic and international
Setting up trade shows and possible attendance
Jewelry production involving bead stringing and wire wrapping
Creating and pricing designs for new collections
General Administration duties including: Answering phones, processing credit card sales, ordering office supplies and filing.

REQUIREMENTS:
-Experience in purchasing wholesale beads and findings
-Ability to identify semi-precious stones and pearls
-The desire and ability to create beaded jewelry with basic wire wrapping skills
-Minimum 2 Years of related work experience
-Honesty, reliability, and friendliness
-HIghly organized; Ability to independently manage time, people and things
-Excellent visual memory -- detail oriented
-Excellent multi-tasking skills
-Kind and clear communications skills in person, in writing and on the phone
-Good general computer skills -- Quickbooks, Word, and some Excel

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL ALSO HAVE:
-Fluency in English and in Spanish
-Interest in Art History
-Good writing skills

ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Our Company is over 25 year old. We design and manufacture jewelry for museum stores, boutiques and catalogs. Our reputation in our field is excellent and we are consistently growing. We are a small, happy team that works well together. Our light, bright studio is centrally located in Manhattan.

SALARY: +/- 40K -- Commensurate with experience.
