A great community member
Financial (Current Employee), Bedford, TexasJanuary 3, 2013
Pros: busy clinic
Cons: long but rewarding hours
Kaner Medical Group is the health care home to thousands of patients in the communities it serves, but care goes beyond it's patients to reach out to the communities where clinics are located to offer emergency and special care to people in need of a physician even on a one-time basis. KMG also partners with employers in the community to offer assistance – more... and support for pre-employment drug testing, physicals, and workers compensation rehabilitation, often working on site at the employer's place of business to provide necessary services. It's a great place to work! – less

Very Busy Clinic
Medical Assistant (Current Employee), Bedford, TXJuly 4, 2012
Pros: flexible schedule, overtime avaliable, also if employees are sick they can be seen in office for no charge.
Cons: no dental insurance, unprofessional management and doctors
This is a very busy clinic which is good because the day goes by really quick. The day starts at 7:00-until we could see up to 30 patients in a day and there was a total of 9 doctors in this practice. In the morning i go in clean the lab, stock the rooms, print the schedules. About 7:30 the first patient would come and the day begins. Everyday other – more... than Wednesdays we have derm appts. 85% of my patients are 45 and younger. The PA specialty is Family Practie so we see a wide range of patients with various problems. I learned to do Texas Rehab physicals, or Disability Eligiablity physicals. The hardest part of my job is not being able to at least get a lunch break because of no coverage. Management was in my opinion very unprofessinal and inappropiate, as it is a family ran business. The most enjoyable part of my job was the patients, they were the highlight of my day. Very sweet patients, – less

A very busy clinic is one that sees 30-40 patients PER physician each day. Thirty patients for nine physicians seems excessively slow. If you are hourly, breaks are REQUIRED. How is this a family run business? You needed to elaborate on this one. How is management unprofessional?

It sounds like to me that the only two comments on here are obviously from employees. Don't u find that kind of strange? How about a comment from a pt. such as myself. Everytime I see my provider he has a new nurse. I've heard they fire employees at the drop of a hat. This practice is one of the most disorganized drs. office I have ever been in. They violate HIPPA laws all the time when they call out the pts.full name to bring them back. I wish OSHA would go in and see this place. I have been in the medical arena for many yrs. gotta say their are too many chiefs and not enough indians. The communication with this office is very poor. The positive is the providers are thorough. If it weren't for that I would definitely take my care elsewhere! Management needs a lesson in how to manage!
