When I arrived to the facility I would get the report from the previous shift nurse. count narcotics on the med cart. stock the med cart for the days med pass. check glucose of diabetic patients. start the morning med pass to the residents. interact with the residents. assist CNA's with getting the residents ready for the day. assist in the dining room with meals. assessments on wounds and treatments as needed. noon med pass. chart. report to on coming shift at the end of the day.
The hardest part of this position was getting everything done in a timely manner.
The most enjoyable part of this position was spending time with the long term care residents and being a part of their lives.
