Pros: Nice people to work with, good foot in the door to the industry, not challenging.
Cons: WAY underpaid, boring, undervalued, poor opportunity for advancement.
Basically this is a place to get your foot in the door after graduation. The Sales Assistant position could be performed by someone without even a high school degree and you are very poorly compensated (if you don't have a second job and expect to live in the city you're in the poverty level). The turnover for Assistants is quick; half of them leave to get other Assistant positions elsewhere that pay more, have a quicker rate of job advancement, and give you more responsibility. Most of the people you work with are pleasant, some really help you out to take full advantage of the position, so it's not the worst work environment. However, for someone who likes a busy day and a challenge this job was torture somedays.
