Account Executive (Current Employee) –  Washington, DCJune 1, 2017
Every year or two there is a serious round of lay offs in the sales divisions. It's not a horrible place to work for a paycheck but the hours/stress can sometimes be overwhelming.

Fun place to work. Learned a lot while being here, just trying to see what else might be out there to try. Typical day consists of doing makegoods and handling discrepancies for Account Executives.

Though management cares to make sure the company as a whole is doing well, it doesn't seem they care much for the individual worker. To many layoffs and not much chance for advancement if you want it. If you really want a chance to learn media sales, this is an okay place to learn.

Old School Media Company
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  United StatesMarch 30, 2017
The company is behind the curve and has been for awhile now. They do value their employees enough and continue to finds ways to do so. It is a company with the old school mentality trying to grow in a new era.
Pros
The everyday employees, AE & Some management are great people

Required Review of Katz Media Group
Executive Assistant (Current Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 16, 2017
Great senior leadership
Many people have been with the company for 15+ years
Lots of turn over within the past 4 years
The effort is there but it takes a little more than effort to make a company whole
The benefits are atrocious

Katz Media Group
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  Troy, MIFebruary 28, 2017
Very slow moving company. Only chance for promotion is when someone leaves the company. Salary is a little below average for the position. Flexibility is the biggest perk. Job requires a lot of phone calls and negotiating with hard headed people.
Pros
Able to work from home. Schedule flexible. Vacation and time off.
Cons
The management plays favorites. Office environment is stuffy, feel like you're walking on egg shells everyday.

Boring Work/Low Pay
Sales Assistant (Current Employee) –  New York, NYJanuary 10, 2016
Alot of the reviews are saying its a great foot in the door opportunity but thats not true. There is no room for advancement in this company. They expect you to do the work of two people while being under compensated. Had I known then what I know now I probably wouldn't have accepted the job, but its the only place that was hiring. The turnover rate for assistants is atrocious, someone is leaving just about every two weeks for better opportunities.

Great Place to Start
Research Analyst (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 23, 2015
There's a large learning curve there. If you are right out of college this is a great place to start. Not so great pay, lots of turnover but you will learn the fundamentals

Typical Corporate Environment Entry Level Position
sales assistant (Former Employee) –  New York, NYMarch 17, 2015
Basically this is a place to get your foot in the door after graduation. The Sales Assistant position could be performed by someone without even a high school degree and you are very poorly compensated (if you don't have a second job and expect to live in the city you're in the poverty level). The turnover for Assistants is quick; half of them leave to get other Assistant positions elsewhere that pay more, have a quicker rate of job advancement, and give you more responsibility. Most of the people you work with are pleasant, some really help you out to take full advantage of the position, so it's not the worst work environment. However, for someone who likes a busy day and a challenge this job was torture somedays.
Pros
Nice people to work with, good foot in the door to the industry, not challenging.
Cons
WAY underpaid, boring, undervalued, poor opportunity for advancement.

If you are seeking a job right out of college this is it. Katz is a good balance of age groups, and everyone there love's to help and teach each other. You will learn a lot about the company, the industry, and make many contacts for future employment. Great seasonal work parties!!
Pros
9-5, hour long lunches
Cons
not much room for promotions
