I would do ADL's such as dressing, grooming, toileting, bathing, charting, following the directions of the nurse, as a team leader update all other CNA's what was going on from the DON. The hardest part was of course losing a resident you became close with to death. You would be at work one day and they would be there and the next day they are gone. It was hard losing special people. I learned to cope with grief of dying. My favorite was being able to make someone's day worth while. I enjoyed putting someone else a smile on their face and going that extra mile to do that for them whether it was something small or big.
