Very productive, educational experience. Enjoyed every minute
Clerical (Former Employee), Dillon, MT – May 16, 2013
Pros: benefits, work around family, and great pay.
Cons: getting laid off
I was able to create my own schedule that worked best for me. This helped me to be a better person and more productive. My supervisor was a delight and my co-workers were always upbeat and helpful. The hardest part of the job was when they laid me off. It really shattered my sense of security in a job. It also helped me to realize the career path I – more... wished to take in life so I started to attend an online college. I have four or five years left till I get this degree but in the end it will all me worth it. – less

Working with the FHWA on the Blue Ridge Parkway
Inspector I (Former Employee), Blue Ridge Parkway – March 18, 2013
Pros: an enjoyable work experience with the fhwa.
Cons: fwha decided to make it a training project for their inspectors.
Working under the FHWA on the Blue Ridge Parkway was a new and rewarding experience. From Daily reports, construction companies inventory and manpower to daily invoices. I learned alot about a new construction proceedure called FDR (Full Depth Reclaimation). The Management was great to work with and helped me learn alot. The co-workers were instrumental – more... in my learning process and in turn I was instrumental in teaching alot. The hardest part of the job was the living away from home. The most enjoyable part of my job was the job itself. – less

Used to be a fun place to work.............
Repair Technician (Former Employee), San Antonio, TX – July 26, 2012
Pros: on site cafeteria
Cons: no advancement
Typical 50-60 hr/wk. Management demands overtime but have no parts for repair or production. No room for advancement, no bonuses no raises. They hire more temps than they keep full staff. The management forcibly push for Kaizen to be implemented when it slowed down production. Inadequate parking for handicap. Will do anything to cut cost. Quantity over – more... quality. – less

Highly stressful environment with extremely LOW employee morale
CSR II (Former Employee), Charlotte, NC – May 15, 2012
Management is incompetent
You hear coworkers crying because of the constant harassment from managers
Some coworkers were great and trustworthy, however there were "nosers" who would gossip to managers
Hardest part of the job was protecting yourself from the management who would rather get you in trouble than help you
