It was a health and medical environment.

The facility was inbound/ outbound calls for in home care patients, requiring a medical open-wound care vacuum.

Management needs some work but the people that you get to meet on a daily bases can be great. You get to drive to all the surrounding hospitals and meet new people that you can create a good relationship with. As long as your co-workers are driven like you are, you will have no problem.

Hardest part of the job will have to relate towards management.

I really enjoy the fact that you can drive and be your own person and make friends with people at accounts and enjoy the weather if its nice out. Also, Overtime is acceptable.

Non-productive extremely limited place to work

Company would prefer to hire externally than internally. You as an employee are treated poorly. There is turn over in management and the new managers that are hired have no clue about the business and learn how to fake being a productive manager. All employees are left to chase their tale. Company wastes money on projects such as making KCI a better place to work, but none of them pan out. The levels of management are out to make a name for themselves stepping on whomever they can to accomplish it. None of the departments are on the same page and the decisions that are made only drive a larger barrier between departments making it a hostile work environment. The company has no interest in advancing employees and would rather replace you with a fast talker that puts on a good face. This company has rapidly changed for the worse and no one knows what direction they are going in. The local service centers have lost business due to selling of assets and allowing other DME companies distribute the equipment. It seems as though this company is getting rid of the overhead of servicing the customer directly and profiting from the products needed to use the devices.

Our workday consisted of 12 busy, fast paced, multitasking hours, with phone calls from customers, technicians, and supervisors at local offices, handling emails, keeping files, and running reports. I was proficient at emailing, working with word documents and excel, and copy and fax machines. I supervised and worked with a team of up to 5 co-workers per shift. The most demanding and difficult part of the job was reaching deadlines on a very busy schedule. The most enjoyable part of the job was when our owners and management team rewarded our hard work by cooking for us, grilling hamburgers or steaks or boiling crawfish!

The KCI culture has changed so much over the last 11 years, that the environment is not good. Management clearly demonstrates favoritism. The path to promotion is not clear, and those truly qualified are overlooked by those who are favored or friends. Favorites are allowed to bully employees and create hostile work environments with no repercussions except for those who try to address the situation. HR reps are biased and friends with employees.

KCI was a great company to work for.I did not work for them full time it was only on a once a year type of employment.
My co-workers were usually not the same people due to i t was union work.management on the other hand was usually the same.They were good hard working people.If I could I would love to work for this company again
