Release Management/Change Management (RM/CM) works in a team environment and serves as an expert level analyst and as a Change and Release Manager within Information Technology. RM/CM will handle the most complex technical and analytical change management issues. The RM/CM will utilize the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management model to provide analysis and oversight of the change management process for Aerojet Rocketdyne. The RM/CM in the Governance and compliance department will ensure the process provides for the complete coordination and timely implementation of hardware and software changes to the complex IT environment with minimal impact to customers. The RM/CM will be responsible for tracking, escalating, analyzing, and reporting of incidents related to the implementation of any change requests.
Essential Job Functions
Under very general direction, provide specialized and complex information systems support.
75% - Provide key support to Release Management Department for enterprise-wide production system change control. Assist in ensuring all production environment changes have been reviewed, documented, tested and authorized per our policies and procedures and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) rules. Responsible for migration/release of approved system changes from test environment to production environment. Responsible for the administration of production change requests, status updates, and coordination of project assignments, via Landesk Change Process.
25% - Compile statistical data, prepare reports and presentations, maintain and update change control & production release policy and procedures documentation. Prepare materials and statistical exhibits for Change Advisory Board meetings and maintain approval records. Update and maintain databases and spreadsheets.
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Computer Science preferred) and six (6) years of directly related experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Understanding of Unix and Windows operating systems is required. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Strong attention to detail. Considerable organizational skills, ability to schedule and prioritize workflow. Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing priorities as business needs require, often with critical time constraints. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
