Directs, coordinates and manages KSFCU SQL Database and SQL server activities.


Implements, manages and supports applications that rely on SQL Databases as well as our core banking system and ancillary products.

Designs, specifies, configures, installs, and maintains servers that host databases and database applications.

Develops and implements policies and procedures related to databases and database applications.

Troubleshoots and resolves database integrity issues, performance issues, connectivity and other potential service interruption issues.

Supports and trains IT Staff when needed as well as external staff on software and equipment usage as needed.

Owns, tracks and resolves database related incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs.

Develops and communicates standards for use, operations, and security of database servers and applications.

Follow policies set by Information Security and enforce by applying to the infrastructure via hardware (ACL’s, Firewall, etc.) or software (Active Directory, File and Folder Security, Anti Virus, etc.).

Consults with department managers to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives.

Researches and evaluates new technologies that will better serve employees and members.

Negotiates contracts with and coordinates activities of hardware, software, support, and training vendors.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong experience in Database Administration in SQL Server (2005 and 2008)
