Meter Reader, Hicksville, NY - March 25, 2014
I would get to work in the morning and we would set our routes up and riders we had to drop off for the day, then load up the cars and go to drop offs. What I have learned from my experience was how to read meters from a distance. The management was a great and made the experience and atmosphere a whole lot better to work. I have made some friends along the way that I still keep in touch with that work in other fields or have left the office for different reasons. The hardest part of the job was getting used to all the walking you had to do and to try and get into peoples homes to read there gas meters. The best part of the day was when you finished and had to go pick up the rest of the crew to head back to the office.
