Working at Kforce

  • YBHANU in Marthasville, Missouri 3 months ago
So I applied for a few IT positions, and I get a call from a kforce recruiter, I am fairly new to the IT field, I have about 2 years experience working for contractors and a few certs. I get a call from the stating that i'm a good fit for one of their positions, I get pretty excited since i'm kind of broke and at the last bit of my savings. I send them a .doc of my resume (same one I copied and pasted on their application website) and after the phone interview they tell me that someone will call me back before close of business today, that was about 2-3 days ago. I'm just curious as to the reliability of these recruiters because they sounded quite professional and the position sounds like exactly what i'm looking for, I just feel like maybe i'm waiting for no reason and when i emailed the guy, I received no response. reading these forums doesn't make me feel much better either, do you all think they will actually call or is this a database building tactic?

What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable? How does KForce stack up against the competition?

Do you work at KForce? How did you find the job? How did you get that first interview? Any advice for someone trying to get in?

It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at KForce? Any advice on striking the right note?

I'm a Sr. JAVA developer and I will tell you, this is a great team of recruiters and sales people. They're all technical and know what they're talking about - this is very refreshing. They keep me employed by redeploying me at the conclusion on my contracts. Their manager even gets involved and really pushes his team on my behalf to make sure they don't lose me. Great group. Great energy. Very professional. Great clients to work with. Very positive experience. I STRONGLY recommend them!

I had a phone call from a Kforce rep the other day. He had contacted me about a job in the area near Cary. Long story short I was asking for high 50's he comes back and tells me or I should say assures me that professionals with my experience and background the rate of pay is in the low 40k.... I had done some research on similar positions going rate has been between low 50's to high 50's...has anyone had similar experiences with these guys???

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at KForce? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at KForce?

I have been contacted by a recruiter from a small company (I've checked their web page, looks formal). She just gave me a brief telephone interview and afterwards faxed me a few forms which I would need to sign and fax back including providing my SSN for a background check. Just wondering if it is normal to give out a SSN at such an early stage, no real interview has been scheduled yet! I know it's the buyer's market right now. Should I just take the chance to give them my SSN number?
