We are in search of a very well polished medical assistant for our pediatric urgent care center located in Woodbridge, NJ. (Central New Jersey).

-Current certification as a Registered Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant
-Phlebotomy, CPR, and EKG experience REQUIRED
-Proficiency with computer utilization and Microsoft Office software
-Familiarity with EMR software is a plus
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Professionalism, a customer service orientation, a teamwork approach, flexibility, organizational and problem solving skills
-Articulate, up beat personality and willing/able to give 110% towards patient care.
-X-ray technician training a plus

Job Responsibilities:

-Prepares exam rooms for patients.
-Escorts patients to and from exam room.
-Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height) and documents same.
-Assist physician with examination and treatment of patients when needed.
-Draw blood when required
-Offers highest quality clinical services and customer service at all times to patients and their families.
-Assists with answering of telephones and all patient inquiries.
-Assists in scheduling new patients.
-Abstracting and preparation of patient records.
-Determines that all laboratory tests and hospital discharge information is included in the electronic record and up-to-date.
-Accurately adds information to the patient’s electronic medical record including information clinically necessary for Meaningful Use requirements.
-Maintain current information on patients (name change; address; insurance updates)
-Obtaining insurance pre-certifications and benefits.
-Responds to families, visitors, and staff in a sensitive manner.
-Communicate concerns/patient issues with physicians.

Position is full time with benefits offered after 90 day trial period.
