Outpatient Case Manager, Kincheloe, MI - May 22, 2013
Working as a therapist in a correctional setting has helped hone my clinical skills. I work with a wide range of people, many of whom have had horrific trauma, life-long addiction, and personality disorders. I enjoy creating a therapeutic environment and establishing rapport, along with educating my clients in order for them to develop stronger coping skills. The hardest part is trying to negotiate the correctional system and its lack of rehabilitative programs.
