Great team environment- safe and reliable
Deputy Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Baltimore, MDNovember 9, 2015
The team is busy doing the normal work orders and pm's and then you get the call of a busted pipe. Everybody jumps to action.

If a tech is doing a repair, and feels unsafe, they make the call and have someone with the corrrect knowledge show up like superman.

Great team.
Pros
Clean breakroom to enjoy your break.
Cons
The Yard needs a lot of work, only lots of money is needed.

Regular 8 hours of work, daily. Have learned new computer systems for logistics. Management works together with employees to make a successful mission. Weather sometimes is unpredictable which makes the job a little bit difficult.

Extreme Streamers
Contracts Manager (Current Employee) –  Fort Carson, COMarch 21, 2013
KIRA streamlines all aspects of its operations-from business development to contract completion-resulting in their trade peoples getting the short end of the stick. Recognized throughout the industry for its lack of knowledge in procurement of contracts, KIRA delivers the wrong people, poor technology, resources. Kira is a company without a MISSION STATEMENT...On its “About Page” Kira brags about winning multi-million dollar contracts. This is the highlight of Kira, Money, Money, Money…But let it be known, the low bidding to win the contract is reflected in their attitude towards what they pay their trades people…A job at Mc Donald’s has more opportunity for advancement.
Pros
still laughing
Cons
not enough room to insert all of them

Not What I Expected-Unprofessional Company
Quality/Safety Manager (Current Employee) –  BaltimoreMarch 20, 2013
The Company in general seems more focus on cutting corner than the welfare and safety of its employees. On January 9th, 2013, the US Army awarded KIRA the DPW Support Contractor of the Year. The Army chose KIRA from a worldwide group of facilities maintenance and base operations support contractors due to KIRA's ability to achieve high quality and high productivity rates at Fort Carson, Colorado, at the expense of it “Slave Labor Mentality!
Anyone looking from the outside will get a painted picture of the company highlights, but the reality of what they don’t see is how they achieve these awards. Kira is amongst the list with its: under staffing, under paid, promises, promises, constant under minding , CEO without Direction, lack of communications, lack of Support from Management. No Leadership can be found here! Presently I’m looking to jump ship as fast as I can..
Pros
flexibility with me running late
Cons
benefits and leadership

I was going to apply for the Michigan position of Project Manager, but I had another offer anyway in Oklahoma at 110K...Pretty sure KIRA Pancake Syrup couldn't have touched that..LOL.

Very fasat pace and day-to-day interaction with both tradesman and the military
Warehouse Specialist (Current Employee) –  Fort Carson, COApril 22, 2012
Excellent company with great benefits. Run by union with possible layoffs. Very fast pace company that maintains the day-to-day operations of of a military base support services from grounds & roads, to buildings and supplies. Many of the employees are retired military. The work day usually goes by pretty quick due to the amount of work required to be completed by COB (close of business). The most enjoyable part of the job is taking care of the customer/customers.
Pros
sick days and vacation weekly, along with payday every friday.
Cons
working in a old military building, with both cold or hot weather.
