About Kirkland and District Hospital
The Kirkland and District Hospital laboratory provides services to Inpatients and emergency 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as well as to clinics and outpatients.
The laboratory is a member of the Timmins Cluster of hospitals which is comprised of 10 area hospitals and is under the Medical Directorship of University Health Network (UHN). The laboratory – more... processes an annual volume of approximately 180,000 tests.

Chemistry
Heamatology
Transfusion medicine including history check
Microbiology (performed at Timmins District Hospital (TDH) and Public Health lab)
Cytology (performed at UHN)
Pathology (performed at TDH and UHN)
Blood Collection
Urinalysis
Point of Care Testing Coordination and Management

Outpatient Hours 08:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday only
Technologists are on site from 08:00am to 11:30pm Monday to Friday and 08:00am to 4:00pm weekends for inpatients and emergency
