Productive and Fun working atmosphere!
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee), Warner Robins, GA – May 14, 2013
I have learned how to make every customer's experience special and individualized. Everyday I greet customers, assist their needs, handle register and cash transactions, stock and maintain inventory of the store, design fixtures and verify store sales by monitoring every hour. The management and co-workers are the best part. Every individual is a team – more... player and great to work with. The most enjoyable part of the job are the people I work with and the customers I meet to develop quality relationships. – less

Affordable home decor that suits any taste.
Assistant Manager (Current Employee), Fort Wayne, IN – May 2, 2013
Pros: decent prices and a good employee discount.
Cons: elimination of certain management positions
A typical day can be summarized as one who must wear different hats, especially as a retail manager. I have learned more of the operational aspect of retail sales with my position and I am grateful for any new skill that can be acquired. The hardest part of the job is merchandising in a very tight retail space with a high amount of merchandise. It is – more... a weekly challenge that eats into productivity and floor time that can be spent helping customers. The most enjoyable part of the job is interacting with customers when they need help decorating their home and are relying on your opinion. It is gratifying that a customer can place that trust in you and your taste in decor. – less

ASSITANT STORE MANAGER (Former Employee), Memphis, TN – April 8, 2013
Pros: wonderfull people i have met, rewards program, training and knowledge i have received.
My daily duties were to look at the store's performance and where improvements were to be focused on. Comunicate with the staff of all achievements and shorfalls. The store was to adhere and maintain all company visual guidelines. New receipts were processed quickly and all Loss Prevention policies were followed to protect the assets of the store.

Bad management, great customers
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Branson, MO – March 7, 2013
Pros: great people, organized
Cons: bad management, low pay
Hours are all over the place and you are scheduled right below getting lunches. Still pretty low pay considering the cost of living in Branson.
The store manager played favorites and was very unprofessional. However, the customers made my day worth it most days. I am a people person and this was a great place to connect to your customers.

Productive and fresh working environment.
3rd Assistant Manager (Current Employee), Crestview Hills, KY – February 28, 2013
Pros: flexible work schedule
Cons: no room for advancement
When shipment arrives, it is enjoyable to recieve and open new product. It challenges my creative skills to rearrange and set up displays with the new and existing product to create a visually pleasing shopping experience. My co-workers are great and easy to get along with. I've learned a great deal about decorating, working with the public in making – more... the customer happy, people skills, working as a team, and working with money. The hardest part of my job is having an upset customer and sometimes not being able to resolve the situation due to any various reason whether it be having sold out of an item they wanted or not having something they were looking for. The most enjoyable part of my job is placing new product on the sales floor. It challenges my thinking and keeps me busy which is what I prefer. – less

Good Work Environment.
3rd Assistant (Former Employee), Murfreesboro, TN – February 27, 2013
Pros: great discounts.
Cons: the smell of the fragrance they carry can make you sick.
It is a fun place to work although if you are sensitive to smells and get migraines or have sinus issues THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU.. We had many people who loved the product but just couldnt take the smell of the store others loved it. They could offer better benefits or just offered benefits period.
A normal day could consist of just pushing product – more... out, unloading truck, working on floor moves. The main focus was always customer service with tasking in between. – less

Good first job.
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Tampa, FL – January 11, 2013
Pros: easy job, nice co-workers, fun environment
Cons: not many hours a week.
A typical day at work consisted of helping customers, and cleaning, and fixing/changing displays in the store. I learned a lot about how to put a room together, and to put displays together by myself. The hardest part of the job was nothing, it was a fairly easy job. I loved the environment, and my co-workers were very professional.

Great Job
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Cary, NC – December 28, 2012
Enjoyed working there and doing my best. Very friendly management, they do expect you to latch on to guests and really sell products, but I feel most places like this do the same. Great pay, I was only seasonal and started out at 8.50 pr hour.

Just a Job.
Stocker (Former Employee), San Marcos, TX – October 12, 2012
Kirkland INC is a great company to work for if you want free time, not a lot of money, and to be considered easily replaceable. They are just another corporate entity that desires a high turnover rate in order to keep their profit margins high, and employee salaries low.
