Teachers Assitant (Former Employee) –  St. Louis, MOAugust 29, 2017
Great school building to work in, with experienced teachers, supportive administration, and well- behaved students. spent my days assisting administrative staff with front desk, office, and copy room duties. I would supervise whole class 7th grade activities (lunch, recess, before and after school). Time dedicated to work with teachers to instruct students as they meet academic or behavior expectations. Also, help teachers grade classwork and homework as necessary.
Pros
Great staff ensuring positive teaching and student experiences
Cons
No benefits for teacher assistants

Supportive parents and community, child centered staff.
Middle School Principal (Former Employee) –  700 S. Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood, MOOctober 27, 2016
The best parts of this job include interacting with children and the opportunity to build a positive, supportive culture. The most challenging part is ensuring student success, evidenced through assessment results. The staff is amazing, very child centered, working with parents requires empathy and patience. The school principal must be flexible and responsive to emergencies, student behavior needs and staff support. So, while there is a schedule, the day may be very unpredictable. A typical week involves working 60 hours that includes attending evening/weekend events and meetings.
Pros
Working with kids, who always bring smiles and laughter.
Cons
Some fourteen hour days and weekend obligations.
