CNC Lathe and Mill Operator, Tulsa, OK - June 18, 2015
I worked 10 hours every night except for one, and that was on an emergency job that had to go out right then. As a 2nd shifter, I worked Monday-Thursday, 10 hour shifts, so got my 40 hours in 4 days. Overall, the actual job was okay. The main issue for me was the main supervisor over the machining had a very disrespectful demeanor. Had to put up with him for a couple hours at the beginning of shift, but once he left the job was laid back. What irritated me was that I worked very hard setting up, creating emergency programs, setting up other operators, etc. I'm not the type that messes around. I went to the bathroom. When I came back someone told me our supervisor came over with a belligerent attitude and pushed cycle start on my machine, not knowing if it was ready or even safe. It scrapped the part because the setup wasn't finished. That was a serious boundary cross for me personally.
