Productive work place, understanding employees
Truck Driver (Former Employee) – Phoenix, AZ – January 16, 2014
If you do consider truck driving OTR, Regional, or Local, I would consider Knight Transportation. You can do dry van, refrigerated, or container loads, and Knight has different trucks for each section. Dispatchers talk to you like you're 'one of the boys' with professionalism, so no awkwardness when presenting an issue or question to them. Don't like a load going to a certain place? No forced loads with this company. You may sit a little bit, but they usually come through for you. Trucks are governed at 65 MPH, depending on how well you save fuel; less idling, more MPH up to 65. Trucks of use are Volvo VNL 670; Volvo or Cummins engine, International ProStar; Maxx Force or Cummins engine. Transmissions on the older versions are 10-spd, newer models are 9-spd.
All in all, definite company to look at over others like Werner, C.R. England, and Prime to name a few.

some traliers are worn out, long hold time on phone.
