Great company to work for
Breakdown Manager (Former Employee), Phoenix, AZ – May 14, 2013
Pros: works with you to get you where you need to be, fair time home policies, no forced dispatch
Cons: same as with any otr company. not a bad word about them other than needs automatics.
I was a driver for them. I then went to work for the corporate office in Phoenix, my van broke down and they let me use a tractor to get back and forth to work until I got another vehicle.

Good Luck Getting Paid
Truck Driver (Former Employee), Boise, ID – May 12, 2013
Pros: many terminals
Cons: lousy pay, dirty terminals, late pay, bad dm named jon
These guys mess up your payroll more then you can imagine, I would say I got paid correctly 20% of the time and I always had to fight to get paid the right miles. If they mess up on your payroll and your on weekly they will make you wait till the following pay period even though its their fault.

Also good luck with trying to get home, you'll have to – more... fight fire breathing dragons to accomplish such a goal. – less

they will not get you home for pre planned events
Dry Van OTR Driver (Former Employee), Hutchins, TX – May 8, 2013
this company will not get you home for pre planned events. I personally was going threw a divorce, working otr. I would know my court dates months in advance. three consecutive times in a six month span, I had to walk in late, or the final....miss the date. the last time I was in Chicago, needing to get to dallas.....I ended up taking a flight home. – more... although I left there equipment at their Joliet yard. they put on my dac report that I quit under a load, which I never had. beware my fellow drivers. I know im just one of many drivers but they handled my situation with no concern for me or my family, and definitely not my career. on top of all that....they kept my last pay check. – less

Great company to work for.
Driver (Current Employee), Atlanta, GA – May 6, 2013
Pros: plenty of miles, great driver manager, new truck, plenty of hometime
Cons: being away from family
I have been with then going in 2 yrs. They have been great to me and my family. One thing that has stood out was when my mother in law passed away, my dm gave me my vacation pay 2 months early to help pay for funeral expenses, without me even asking. They went went above and beyond. The miles are also great.

Do not become a Lease/Purchaser with this company!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Truck Driver (Former Employee), Tulare CA – April 14, 2013
Pros: company driver was good! steve my dm was great! he helped me all he could
Cons: lease purchase don't do it!
I started out as a company driver. The pay wasn't great but at least I was able to pay my bills. Against what my wife said I decided to go for the lease option thinking I would make more money. The first few weeks I didn't even get enough miles to pay for the lease and insurance and all the other deposits you have to have to be able to drive. So I ended – more... up in the hole and now I'm 3 months later and still in the hole. I kept thinking if I got the miles, I would be able to get out of the hole but no. When you ask for help they don't care. I almost lost my house, my wife and everything because I wasn't getting a check. I don't recommend the lease purchase to anyone. I should have stayed a company driver. I was told also if the lease didn't work out I could go back to company driver but I was told no so they lie. Be wary of this company very wary...They will take all your money, so you are actually driving the truck for free. Hauling their freight for free. Be careful before you decided to become a lease option. – less

All I remember about this job was that I drove a truck all over MO and worked the dock loading and unloading trucks and doing all the necessary paper work and pre trip inspections on the truck I was driving for that day.

Not Worth It
Driver (Former Employee), Rancho Dominguez, CA – April 3, 2013
I started with Knight thinking that it would be a great job and it ended up with me paying the company to work because the truck they leased was falling apart and I had to pay for all of the repairs.

I hated working for knight.
Driver (Former Employee), Fontana, CA – March 31, 2013
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
I went thru khight's training. The person called my trainer was beliggerent, rude, and not a very good driver.

As most drivers know the truck stops fill up at night. One night when I was driving we found a parking spot at a truck stop. There was a truck which had parked over the yellow line which made backing tight. The trainer told me it was alright – more... to hit the parked truck as long as "I did not hit it too hard."

I could not believe what I had heard. This guy is supposed to be a trainer and he is telling me it is okay to back into a parked truck. I managed to back the truck into the spot without hitting the parked truck.

The other issue is that no one knows what trailers are full or empty because they all have padlocks on them. If you call dispatch, no one knows where there is am empty trailer and further no one cares. They do not care if you sit there a week looking for an empty trailer. I quit after 6 months. – less

Not a good place to work, not a good job.
Driver (Former Employee), Carlisle PA – March 31, 2013
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
I trained at Knight out of an approved trucking school. Had to go with a trainer for 6 weeks. I went thru 3 trainers. Trainers were hostile. I believe they are not trainers but goons who take the job as a trainer so they have someone to beat-up on. As soon as I got my truck I quit.

Not Good
Driver (Former Employee), Compton California – March 22, 2013
Pros: they dont fire anyone
Cons: no pay check
I am doing the owner operator/lease to purchase option with this company. For more then 4 weeks they have only provided enough runs to barely cover the lease option leaving me away from my family for a week at a time, and no pay check to feed them with. The company promised 1200 per week bring home pay and I have yet to see a check. Bogus company.
