Pros: great company and great people
Cons: i just couldn't make enough money
I started driving for Knight and thought this would be a great company for me and it was for a month. Why only a month you ask, well, The trucks did not have an APU and we were cut back to driving at 60mph. I couldn't make money doing that. Don't get me wrong I still think that this is one of the best companies to drive for.

Pros: people are nice
Cons: cheap insurance, and trust issues, low pay, bad lease plan
I run the east coast, mostly, but not by choice. Enough miles, but not enough pay. Hard to get home, when needed. They do not repair, their trucks, properly. I bounced from shop to shop, since Oct of 2011, because of exhaust leaks, coming into the cab of my trucks, and no one fixed them properly.

Pros: management will work with you
Cons: volvo equipment, routing can double 'on days'.
Sliding scale for local loads works well.
Dispatch tries, but hometime never matched promise at hire.
Volvo trucks are glorified day-cabs, and should not be used for OTR
99.9% drop and hook, or shipper load
average 2500-3000 mi/week

Pros: got paid on time.
Cons: not fair with employee.
no common. not a good company to work for,they didn't care about the employee,and didn't have respect for working women,They didn't value me as a truck driver, and they never wanted feed back about anything I had to say.

A great company to work for.

The job is a great one. The driver managers know you by name, not your truck number and they continue to remind you that you can go further in the company. Also, they will get you home whenever you need to.

Pros: the pay was good and the equipment was too.
Cons: dispatcher who never been on the road
It's fun getting into a truck and driving across the country side with no one yellin at you for not working at thier speed,I was always on time with my loads and made my drop off and pick up ethor on time or early i don't like being late,I would also do loco delivery if they didn't have any one to do them when i came back from my runs I also kept my – more...  log book up to date and time.. – less
