Kohls is where I learned and mastered my management skills. This is where I managed a lot of employees and had to jugle a lot of diffrent tasks on a daily bases.

Fast work environment
Cashier (Former Employee), Forsyth, IL –
Pros: customers kept a smile on my face, customer service
Cons: you got rude customers and rude coworkers
It was a fast easy paced work environment. Always loved being busy. The worst part of my day would probably be when customers get mad because of you going on break, or your off work. Very friendly coworkers always helped. It was always hard trying to balance the register and help someone else at the same time.

Loved helping out the customers find what they needed. Loved how sometimes it would get crazy, but the same time remained fun.

The most fun I had at a job
Cashier (Former Employee), Medford, OR –
Pros: free lunch
Cons: small hours given
There was never a time I felt that I wasnt a part of an actual team. I learned how management works and the essentials of being in a team. My co-workers were friendly and supportive whenever I wasnt at my best. As the hardest job, it was counting the till early in hte morning without coffee. However, it was the most enjoyable part of the job since it – more...  was my very own challenge. – less

Get ready to fold lots of clothes!
Customer Service Associate (Former Employee), Kenosha, WI –
If you don't mind constantly refolding and rehanging clothes, then it's a good job to have. Other than that, it is a nice working environment. You get an employee discount and work in an air conditioned store. :)

Good place to work , but managment is a bit overberring
Sales Associate/ BOH (Former Employee), Fremont, CA –
Pros: easy, fun and friendly people
Cons: managment needs to change
It is a very easy going, fun job, I did just about everything you could possibly do, from customer service to unloading trucks, co-workers are very friendly and helpful but the managment had their "favorites" and weren't very fair

Nice place to work as a part time gig but if in the wrong position not so fun
Freight Associate (Current Employee), Blaine, MN –
Pros: getting a raise every year
Cons: not getting enough hours
I am a freight associate so the day starts out basically me checking if the compactor is full or not then taking all the empty boxes off the line and putting them into the compactor and crushing them. Then after the truck is done I usually unpack the hardlines or go out to the floor and replenish the sales floor. I learned most from Kohls is that some – more...  people just are there to work and some are there for a job and dome people are there for a career. Management it depends on how well you get along with the manager on how they like you or not. The co workers a lot are fun and easy to get along with. Hardest part of the job is getting up early going on a couple hrs of sleep and keeping up with the work. The most enjoyable part of the job is meeting and talking to all the female associates and getting to know them. – less

Sr Programmer/Analyst (Current Employee), Menomonee Falls, WI –
Pros: benefits
Cons: work life balance is non-existent in is
If you like working endless hours and being expected to be available 24/7, then Kohl's is the place for you. At Kohl's, it's more than a job, it's a life style.

I work in the IS dept in Meno. Falls. Take it from me... I don't know many people there that are happy. All these reviews with 5 stars aren't coming from Meno Falls.

Very fun and beneficial work environment
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Saginaw, MI –
Pros: nice staff, great hours, excellent experience.
Working the registers, assisting customers, stocking the store, and organizing merchandise were my daily duties. I learned a lot about customer service and the best way to make customers pleased with their shopping experience. The managers were very pleasant and helpful. The co-workers were nice, organized and also helpful. The only hard part of this – more...  job was working on black friday. Everything else about this job was very enjoyable. – less

Not a company I would like to work for ever again.
Management Intern Program (Former Employee), Knightdale, NC –
After a few long months as a Management intern with Kohl's I came to realize that although their culture, values, advancement programs, and even recycling programs sound great on paper .... NONE of it was actually put into action. I got into a lot of hot water when I pointed this out to my manager and then the regional manager. It seemed that if it – more...  didn't directly bother them it didn't matter. I don't know if it was just the store I worked in or all of them, but the company culture was mean, uncaring, and sometimes down right ugly. I do not recommend this company to anyone! – less
