Experienced Sales Executive
Named Account Executive, Strategic Accounts (Current Employee), Charlotte, NCApril 22, 2014
I currently have 10 years of experience in the office equipment and software industry. My typical day currently is spent working with specific targeted accounts on a national level. Due to an ever changing industry, I have learned to be open to changes, and flexible in my daily schedules. I most enjoy meeting different clients on a daily basis, and – more... helping them overcome their challenges. – less

Great company!
NAMED ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - EDUCATION (Former Employee), Miami Lakes, FLMarch 31, 2014
During my time here as an Account Executive, my role was to sell hardware and software solutions for document management and security to prospects of companies at senior-level including Director, VP, CIO and CFO. The sales activity mainly consisted of contacting current customers as well as cold and warm prospective customers through a combination of – more... telephone and in person contacts to obtain appointments for sales meetings, prepare presentations and proposals. I effectively maintained cooperative working relationships with all necessary departments to ensure sales were generated and processed efficiently to achieve customer satisfaction. – less

Good experience, tough competition, poor compensation
Account Executive (Current Employee), New YorkMarch 26, 2014
Pros: flexible work/life balance, your coworkers, free coffee & water, good benefits (for now)
Cons: compensation and expenses are weak, industry is over saturated
Great coworkers. However low morale due to higher quotas and weak comp plans. $300 a month for gas & cell phone doesn't even cover half of what you will use a month. Poor training for new reps and a high turnover.

Honestly, I've never had better coworkers at any other job in my life, a really great group of people. Product specialists and support really – more... know their stuff. Pretty good products. – less

High energy & quota based environment
Sales Manager (Former Employee), Tampa, FLMarch 19, 2014
Pros: trips, free lunches & team quarterly meetings and awards
Cons: not enough time in a day to get all accomplished
Most enjoyable part of KM is the customers. Typical work day consisting of 10 to 12 hours a day for to achieve success. Management needs a little more of a sense of urgency to get things done on a more timely manner. Service technicians are 2nd to none.

Good people. They allow you to be independent. Upper management is heading in the right direction. CRM tool is ineffective.

Low Office Morale and Extremely Poor Management
Named Account Executive (Former Employee), VirginiaFebruary 10, 2014
Pros: make your own schedule, great benefits
Cons: management. opportunity for growth, very high turnover rate, paperwork
As a 10 plus year "veteran" of the office eqipment/copier industry, this was by far the worst place I have worked. In the beginning, it was a fun and positive place to work, but as time went by, I experienced numerous changes in management. To add to that, what management that was left in place upon my departure was shady, at best. I even went almost – more... an enitre year without a manager, with basically no one to go to for guidance or assitance. In the end, this was a very unethical place to work, which caused extreme anxiety and stress. For the most part, all of the sales reps got along well, however, only certain reps were given the size of accounts that would enable them to make a very good living. For lack of better words, the other reps were "stuck" with the few accounts they were given with little or no opportunity. The turnover rate with sales reps is EXTREMELY high. This is not a place to work if you want or need to make a decent income. I would ONLY recommend it to someone just entering the job market. – less

At the time this was the largest company that I had worked for.
Switchboard Administrator, Receptionist (Former Employee), Duluth, GAOctober 23, 2013
A typical day was to greet all customers and direct all calls. From there I was able to help with overflow from other departments. I advanced to being responsible for all issue regarding the phone and mail system. I was also crossed trained in the Sales and Service departments. So that instead of calling a temp in when one of the administrative staff – more... was out, I covered their desk. – less

Production Print Imaging Technician (Former Employee), Houston, TXOctober 22, 2013
Pros: the stability of the job and company
Cons: management style, no opportunities for upward growth
a typical day involved traveling around to different customers repairing their printers. Strong troubleshooting skills are a must for this position. Ive learn alot through the company's internal ongoing certification program. Due to a draconian management style, the hardest part of the job is dealing with management and the demands placed on the workers. – more... KMBS Konical Minolta
Administrator (Former Employee), Ramsey NJSeptember 24, 2013
Pros: lunches, co-workers holiday parties, benefits
Cons: salary
When I first started at Minolta I was a receptionist for the company. I enjoyed my job so much I didn't want to leave the position; however, I move on within the company. I was hired in Human Resources and then on to the Copier division.

Management guided me and gave me skills I was able to implement and use throughout my career. If management believes – more... in your abilities the possibilities are endless.

I have made very good and lasting relationships over the years here at Konica Minolta and still keep in touch with my co-workers. – less
