A typical day includes connecting with staff and patients, attend meetings, work on various projects, scheduling and development of polices.
I have learned and developed as a leader over the years. Honing leadership is something I have great pride of and continue to work on. Utilizing appreciative Inquiry my team developed a strong mission statement for their work area. This was how they wanted to be seen from the organization as well as patients and their families.
The staff managers are great leaders. They are consistently working towards positive outcomes regardless of the amount of things they have on their plate.
The culture is great. Staff come to work everyday because of who they work with and they really love what they do. Their compassion for people is amazing.
The hardest part of my job is seeing how hard everyone works and asking them to do more with less.
The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing initiatives become reality and sustained throughout the organization. I also enjoy seeing my staff be developed and working at the top of their license.
