Hadrworking and fun.
Sales/gift wrapper (Former Employee), Modesto, CA –
Working for L'Oreal was a great experience. My job was to wrap purchased gifts for the customers. When I wasn't doing that, I would be either passing out perfume samples or helping customers find what they needed or just assist my fellow coworkers if they got too busy. I learned how to gift wrap, talk to customers, sale product, and learned the details – more...  of each fragrance our company was selling. Management was great. Not only were they very uplifting, they would teach me and guide me whenever they had the opportunity to. Also, my coworkers made it a fun place to be. All together, they made it feel like more of a family and not just a job. The hardest part of this job was trying to remember the details of each fragrance and being of my feet the entire time. The most enjoyable part was how everyone was friends and lifted you up and made you feel great when you made a sale or started to really get the hang of the job. – less

L'Oreal USA was an AWESOME place to work!
Distribution Clerk (Former Employee), Aurora, CO –
Pros: benefits, hours of operations, paid vacations, holidays and personal days.
Cons: long hours when it came to overtime, some co-workers didn't put out the work.
Loved the hours of work. 6am to 4:30pm from Tuesday - Friday. We could work overtime at the end of each month if you choose to. Benefits were excellent. They offered 401k, Health, Dental and Optical. Paid vacations, 2 personal days and hoildays.Once a year we recieved a bonus in December. The amount of our bonus would depend on how well the company – more...  did that year. The hardest part of my job was making sure an expedite order shipped out on time, especially if we received the order late in the day and each end of month we needed to make certain amount of shipping quota per management and we needed to stay for overtime. I learned how to use the computer (AS400 & SAP software), email, excel, word. Also operate conveyor system to control work flow. I learned how to label & pick full cases. Never really had issues with my co-workers other than some fustrations on occasison due to miss understanding. Company always provided family picnics and at the end of each year they provided a Business Review Dinner with transportation on occassions. Out of my 32 year career I really enjoyed working for L"Oreal USA! They really CARE about their employees! – less

Fast pace, ever changing environment
Production Supervisor (Current Employee), Clark, NJ –
I work as a production supervisor on the manufacturing floor. The best and most challenging part of the job is leading the people. This holds especially true as the plant is on its way to closing at the end of the year. The management team work very well together and keep things light with humor, but can be very stressful at times.

Challenging corporate environment with good benefits package
Creative Services Manager, Matrix (Current Employee), New York, NY –
Pros: excellent benefits, compensation package
Cons: work-life balance could be challenging
L'Oreal USA is a wonderful place to build a career and to grow. You are challenged in diverse aspects and work in your role as well as cross-functionally with other teams. The role I had at L'Oreal was tailored over time to suit the changing needs of the team, utilizing my core strengths and abilities.

Exciting and fun place to work.
Northeast Sales Manager (Former Employee), New York, NY –
Pros: telecommuting
Cons: lots of travel
I learned how to prioritize and manage my time, manage budgets and the science behind hair. The hardest part of the job was having to multitask with managing multiple events, salon to salon sales, manage accounts/distributors, and meet sales goals and deadlines.

US workers receive EU-like benefits - lot of PTO and Holidays
Vendor (Former Employee), New York –
Pros: on-site company store and cafe
Cons: "red tape", limited resources, absence of sme's and in-depth industry knowledge
This particular job is with Lancome which is a smaller unit within L'Oreal. They do not have access to the same tools or resources so the CRM teams have a long learning curve ahead of them.

Excellent company to work for
Territory Manager (Former Employee), Syracuse, NY –
My time with Loreal was valuable. Unfortunately the economic climate was not conducive to such an extended full time sales force. The entire force was eliminated, as seems to be the trend. The company was very good to me and I hold no remorse or regrets about the direction the company moved.

The BEST COMPANY TO HAVE WORKED FOR!
Territory Manager (Former Employee), DFW –
Pros: people
Cons: lay, off, excellent, people
Having worked at L'Oreal USA for 21+ years, I can truly say, "They are truly Worth It". The people are fantastic, the products the very finest available for the price, and the benefits are incredible. Early on advancement came easily for qualified employees. I rose from a contract type employee to P/T, then F/T. With very fair pay increases!
