What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable? How does L-3 Communications stack up against the competition?

How many of you are tired of companies posting jobs online, and not being urgent about taking them off if the position is no longer open? It makes me wonder if they can deliver what they preach about in job "requirements". They look for candidates that have this and have that, yet a human resource worker cant even do their job! BAE Systems have a bad habit of posting jobs on 20+ websites and say "fk it, we already filled the job, so we dont care who see's it". I would like to work for Raytheon, BAE or L-3 but dread this happening to me!

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at L-3 Communications? Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers? What is a typical day in the life of an employee at L-3 Communications?

Had an interview in SLC and it went well, very well. Now I am playing the waiting game. Anyone with any experience with these guys as far as after interview contact, how long they take to send out a job offer? I was told I would get an email either way--yes or no and have not heard anything. I have the HR contact's business card but I was not offered one by the Hiring Manager. Should I try to locate him/her to tahnk them and to express more interest in the job? I did leave a voice mail for them but haven't had my call returned. I'm going crazy waiting. Anyone? Help!
