Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Respond to customer, attorney and trustee written and verbal inquires
Work bankruptcy mail
Work the *BK wips daily and ensure accounts are coded correctly and started on the correct strategy
Work all other bankruptcy wips
Work exception reports to ensure appropriate actions are being taken on accounts
Complete document request screen
Send letters to debtor(s) and/or debtor(s) attorney to determine property status
Send letters to debtor(s) attorney to follow-up on post petition payments
Send payoff letters
Prepare short sale/settlement offers and obtain appropriate approvals
Identify and negotiate loss mitigation options with debtors and/or debtor(s) attorney
Obtain financial profile and set-up payment plans
Prepare Proof of Claims [POC] and File Proof of Claims, as Electronic Filing [ECF]
Doing Research to help determine if we will file a Secured or Unsecured POC
Special projects as assigned

15% Work *BK Wips
15% Research for Proof of Claims [POC]
10% Prepare POC and File thru Electronic Filing [ECF]
10% Respond to customer, attorney and trustee inquiries
10% Help Prepare Short Sales/ Settlements
10% Work exception reports
10% Work mail
10% Letters to debtor(s) and/or debtor(s) attorney regarding status of property
05% Obtain financial profile and set-up payment plans.
05% Prepare payoff letters

Education and Experience

Minimum High School Diploma
MUST have 1 to 2 years of bankruptcy expereince (creditor or debtor)
1 year minimum Mortgage/Retail Servicing, Paralegal or Trustee office experience is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
Proven ability to manage a large volume of accounts

Specialized Skills and Knowledge Preferred and/or Required

Working knowledge of FDCPA/FCRA
Working knowledge of Federal Bankruptcy Laws
Basic knowledge of Legal department guidelines
Good oral and written communication skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Good customer service skills
Good mathematical skills
Ability to negotiate quickly and effectively
Ability to exhibit sound judgment to protect client’s interests
Ability to work with minimal supervision
