Data Entry Clerk (Former Employee), New Castle, DE – May 2, 2012
Pros: hour lunch
Cons: non
my day was very good. learned how to code medical terminology. my co-workers where very nice people and i boss was cool too. the job really wasnt hard at all.
Very low morale, stress and hostile place to work. Would not reccommend this place for work.
Specimen Accessioner (Current Employee), Durham, NC – April 20, 2012
Cons: short lunch breaks, long hours, no weekends off, high turn over rate
A typical day at work: You will be rushed and threatened daily about your production.
What I learned: I don't want to be treated with no respect and put down all the time. This a highly stressful job because of the people. The work is not hard but when you are told that you will be let go daily it makes you not want to come to work.
Management: Management – more... and Supervisors are very critical towards employee. Your job is constantly threatened everyday. You are required to go above and beyond production each and everyday or you will be told that you will be let go.
Co-workers: The co-workers that have been there for 12-years or longer are very rude. There is too much gossiping and cliques. If you don't hang with them then you are an out cast and you will get the worst work on a daily basis.
The hardest part of the job: Pulling up in the parking lot and not looking forward to going in.
The most enjoyable part of the job: Getting in my car and going home. – less

Patient Service Technician (Former Employee), Columbus Ohio – March 22, 2012
Pros: the money is great!
Cons: favortism, childish co-worker, and unsupportive boss
I believe my expeience with this company failed due to childish behaviors of staff, a boss who had favorites and H.R. staff who supported her. I was actually fired for coming in one minute late! while every check made at this company carried over time which I earned, and would always go to different sites if my boss asked. I came in early if she asked, – more... went home If she asked! and for forgetting my keys in the house one morning she fired me knowing I had two kids to feed. I felt hurt by this comany and I feel they did not at all appriciate my efforts as their employee. I would say if you apply know going in there will be favorites who can leave the site at will and have special hours but if you come in a minute late with calling your supervisor she will terminate you that very day even after more than a years service. – less

Pros: good benefits
Cons: their benefits were starting to increase a little
Lab corp was a place that I truly enjoyed working at. I learned so much while there as an employee, and I would welcome the opportunity to return there.
Never a dull moment, always learning something new

I enjoy working for this company. there are constantly new tests coming to our department and there is always something new to learn so it is never boring day at lab corp. the management staff and coworkers are very friendly and it is a very family oriented place of business.
