About Laconia Savings Bank
Since 1831, Laconia Savings Bank's mission as a bank has remained essentially the same: to support and enhance the communities where we serve, live and work. We assist our communities fundamentally through providing a safe place to deposit money and earn a reasonable rate of return on that money. However, we are also part of a much greater cause - enriching – more... the communities we serve through volunteerism, stewardship and advocacy.
As a result of our commitment to helping others, and our resolve to strengthen that commitment, Laconia Savings Bank has developed the Opportunities for Volunteerism program. Many of our employees already donate their time and expertise to over 100 different organizations throughout the state. Many others have expressed an interest in helping out in their communities, but are uncertain about where to start.
This resource is intended to act as a guide for all individuals interested in researching the types of volunteer positions available, the contact information for organizations who need volunteer assistance, and the kind of commitment (i.e., training hours) the organizations might require.
This guide is not intended to represent every volunteer opportunity in the state. Interested individuals may discover other organizations that need help through a family member or friend, or may want to consider donating time to a program that once helped them. There are so many ways that individuals can give back to their community.
