Automotive Technician-Experienced Automobile Mechanic
As an Automotive Technician, you are responsible to ensure customer service and satisfaction through performing effective inspections, diagnosis, estimates and installations of automotive service and products. The Technician may also be responsible for overseeing apprentice employees, installing accessories, and performing new vehicle pre-delivery inspections and prep work.
Additional responsibilities include:
Test driving vehicles, if necessary, to verify customer issues noted.
Diagnosing vehicle problems based on customer feedback.
Fixing vehicles correctly.
Advising the Service Consultant if additional work is needed, or if work recommended is unnecessary.
Staying up to date on technical bulletins, vehicles and their service needs as described in manuals, and training programs.
Participating in factory sponsored training and programs.
Supervising the work of any apprentices assigned.
Ensuring that all vehicles are left as clean, or cleaner, than when it arrived for service.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman or Service Manager, such as performing quality control on designated vehicles.

Additional requirements include:
2+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic. Audi or Volkswagen Automotive Technician/Mechanic experience is a plus.
Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of Customer Service.
Working knowledge of vehicle electronic components, theory, systems, and testing tools and procedures.
Working knowledge of shop equipment such as tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, A/C equipment.
Skill in diagnosing and repairing all key vehicle systems and components.
Knowledge of the proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, and using tools and equipment.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Availability and willingness to work a flexible schedule of over 40 hours per week, including Monday and Thursday evenings, and Saturdays.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license
