School Nutrition Manager (Current Employee) –  Barnesville, GASeptember 20, 2017
The school system is a great place to work. The pay scale is not a great way to keep good and loyal workers. When workers are paid well they tend to stay at there workplace longer and retire.
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
Pay low

Great Principal that supports the teachers and shows genuine concern for the students. The teachers and staff try to collaborate in as many ways as they can to ensure the best approach to learning is accomplished and the students get the every opportunity afforded to them.
Pros
great school, benefits and learning opportunity for children
Cons
distance to the school if you do not live within the community

Good Place to Work
Bus Driver (Current Employee) –  Hattiesburg, MSDecember 26, 2016
If you can work with parents then you will not have problems working . Can be a challenge dealing with children who don't want to cooperate and parents not willing to listen. Otherwise, great place to work.

Enjoyable workplace and great start into the public school system
Substitute Teacher (Former Employee) –  Barnesville, GAFebruary 14, 2014
As a substitute teacher I managed and maintained classrooms of varying subjects and ages. I was responsible for handing out coursework, proctoring exams, and aiding in understanding when the subject matter overlapped with my education. The fellow teachers were always accommodating and helpful whenever they were needed. The hardest part of the job was simply earning the respect of the older students. The most enjoyable part of the job was aiding in the education and understanding of the students. This is a wonderful way to begin a career in a public school system.
Pros
experience and connections
Cons
unreliable scheduling
