horrible place to work
accounting (Former Employee), accountingJune 16, 2015
Horrible place to work. If you want to work your life away for next to nothing, be treated unfairly when you report issues to admin, never have room for growth-- come work here.

If you have some degrees, you can stand around and talk all day and not get into any trouble. If you tell them you have a sad home life story, you can basically get away with anything while others have to deal with the weight of you not doing your job.

*strict work hours and lunch breaks.

Busy, Busy Orthopedic and Spine Center
Surgical Technologist (Current Employee), Lancaster PAMay 13, 2015
Lots and Lots of Total joints and Neuro Surgery, Co-workers are very diverse in age. The younger generation gets into more of the heavier surgeries. Hardest part of the job, is the long hours some days.

Pros: great hospital, coworkers, and scheduling
Cons: alot of work to be done in one shift, couldn't always spend enough 1:1 time with a patient
Always allowed me to work with my schedule, PRN, but filled in where I could and nursing supervisor kept up with scheduling.

Productive and Busy work Environment
Patient Registrar (Former Employee), Lancaster, PAJune 24, 2014
Cons: overworked
Working in the Emergency Department was very busy and productive. Normally, with two staff members can be overwhelming with a crisis life and death situation, registering patients for outpatient services, sleep study and our emergency patients at the same time.

I enjoyed helping the patient's get the care they needed. Verifying insurance, demographics and personal information. Enrolling patient's with no healthcare coverage to medicaid. Collecting co-pay's upon discharge.

It would have been a better work environment with a least three staff members in the registration dept for the ER.

Not good
Security Officer (Former Employee), Lancaster, PAMay 18, 2014
I learned some good skills here but there was no room for growth and there was too many politics at play with the management.

Great plce to work
Nursing Supervisor (Current Employee), Lancaster, PAAugust 1, 2013
Pros: everyone will do their best to assist you with what you need.
Cons: is a busy hospital and growing which means it can be challenging at times.
If you want to work at a place that really cares about the patients and the staff, this is the place for you. It is a true team approach. These are challenging times in healthcare and administration keeps everyone informed of what is happening. Administration listens to needs and does their best to improve where they can.
