Description: Administers all aspects of employee benefits to include, but not limited to: health, dental, vision, long term disability, life, retirement, flexible spending plans, EAP, wellness clinic, and accounts reconciliation. Assists employees with other benefits, staff tuition, worker’s compensation, COBRA, FMLA, and medical leave and responds to inquiries, and claim resolution issues. Interprets policies and procedures in appropriate areas of responsibility. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements: Must have strong working knowledge of human resources including benefits administration, technology, HRIS systems, and interpreting applicable policies and employment laws including the Affordable Care Act. A high school diploma and 4 years related experience in human resources is required with a bachelor’s degree or PHR desired. Experience in SC State benefits administration and Banner preferred. Valid driver’s license is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent customer service with strong communication, computer, and organizational skills. Must be team oriented with attention to detail, confidentiality, and possess the ability to meet deadlines.
Hire Range: $25,627 - $36,520
Work Hours: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday – Wednesday
7:30 am – 5:00 pm Thursday
