Good Company
Corporate Accountant (Former Employee), Springfield, IL – May 14, 2013
AT the time I was there the company was going through transition, having just been bought. I enjoyed working with the multiple facilities and other corporate accountants, but this office was eventually closed as the corporate offices were moved to NC.

Work enviornment good ,management poor
line service technician (Current Employee), Miami – March 11, 2013
Pros: tips which is not shared evenly in the tip pool
Cons: thats a very long list
I would not recommend anyone to work here ,employee opinions does not count . The laziest persons are promoted, promotions not done by merit but by who managers drink with or like.

Staying busy but time to also take care of personal things.
Part-time ground crew worker (Current Employee), Roanoke, VA – February 6, 2013
Pros: having downtime to read, talk and relax.
Cons: hearing the same safety information, most the people who seem to always have something to complain about.
A typical day consist of a safety meeting and any other information needed as far as assignments and requirements of the job. I've learned about machinery that has been useful. Using large ladders to open various cargo doors on the plane has been good. We use a lot of hand signals to communicate since it's noisy. We place the tail stand on the plane – more... every night. We also place the belt loader to the rear cargo area. The management is good but sometimes things are a little unclear. Some people try to be a leader when they should just let the Supervisors do their job and assign to workers. The hardest part of the job is moving packages every night of the week. I find the friendships and hard work most enjoyable personally. – less

Just another "bad" corporation giving middle class Americans a reason to vote democrat.
Line Service Technician (Former Employee), San Diego, CA – December 28, 2012
Pros: meet and greet vips, getting tips from some people, and working outdoors.
Cons: performing lavatory service, not getting tipped, uniforms, too much patronage, too much downtime.
General Manager was a liar and was only worried about what his superiors thought of him and had no respect for subordinates. Most supervisors and workers were lazy and/or incompetent. Negative atmosphere. No raises for any workers in over 4 years(or any other performance based incentives). High turnover rate for workers with less than 2 years with the – more... company(no workers between 2- 5 years experience while I was employed there). Pay was not competitive with other companies offering similar positions in the local area...... Basically I needed a full time job that would allow me to attend college full time and this was the one of the few jobs that were available in San Diego besides hospitality or food/beverage industries. Job was stupid easy – less

Senior management demonstrates strong racially bias toward African Americans
General Manager (Former Employee), Fayetteville – December 26, 2012
Pros: landmark offers competative salaries
If you are african American and looking for a position in mid or upper level management Landmark aviation you will be disappointed. Their is a culture of racism in the aviation industry in general and Landmark takes it to a whole new level. If you look across the company you will be hard pressed to find more than a couple african American General Managers – more... and definately zero upper management positions are filled by black. The racist culture starts with the SVP of operations down. Regardless of african american employees quaification and positive contributions to the company's goals; blacks are not welcomed in the bright spots of the company. At one time their were a few black General Managers, but they were systematically fired for one reason or another to preserve the company's image. – less

EMorris – April 1, 2013

The former GM of Landmark in Fayetteville was not fired for his race, he was fired because he was trying to cheat customers out of discounts, and he was verbally abusive to his employees. When one particular employee had had enough and finally complained to the right people, this general manager was relieved of his duty and another manager brought in and created a fun and healthy work environment that customers and employees love.

Pros: local people make the difference
Cons: culture and values reality different from published
Culture and values reality different from published

Awarded the National Petroleum Management Association’s Silver Nozzle of Excellence in 2011, the Greensboro facility was the first FBO in history to be honored for its safety, accuracy, and professionalism in all aspects of fueling operations.

Not a long term career
Line Technician (Former Employee), Norfolk, VA – October 3, 2012

Learned a lot about everything to do with an F.B.O.
G.S.E. mechanic, Quality control of fuels, Jet (Former Employee), Scottsdale, AZ – September 28, 2012
Pros: lots things to learn and study, safety, safety!
Cons: work load was relentless no time for a break.
A typical day at Landmark started with a safety briefing by my immedate manager and any updates, fuel farm inspections and testing of fuel at fuel farms and fuel trucks, preventive maintenance on all ground support equipment, all monthly checks done in accordance with ATA specification 103, testing, troubleshooting, mechanical repairs inspecting fuel – more... samples. I learned all about FBO's and their operations. Immediate manager was great, fun to work with, fair minded. Co-workers were helpful and friendly, team players. The hardest thing was working outside in the heat. The most enjoyable part of my job was seeing all the different corporate aircraft, learning little facts from the line service personnel, ongoing learning on the computer it was an education on Safety, aviation fuels and ground water complete and comprehensive all things covered to do with a FBO. – less

Do not wotk for this company
Can't say (Current Employee), Miami – September 25, 2012
Pros: staff is fun
Cons: low pay, extremely bad management, unfair treatment and lack of respect
We who work there are all looking for new jobs. No manager care a one bit about staff. All they care about is how much money they make. If you go drinking with them well you can do well :-(. What class in managing people. Male management try to sleep with the females all the time. No respect for us. Management will take the staff they like drinking – more... on the clock and take them back to clock out. This is a h.... hole. You can work as hard as you want but if they don't like you because you don't go out with them you have no hope of moving up.
Don't come to this place. Oh and you get paid more if you are liked as well. Do as you want if you a woman and they think they will get some. You will not be told a thing. – less

FEDDUP – March 11, 2013

This is so true, working here is horrible . Most times you feel stagnant ,the order of the day is making money.Promotions are done not from performance but though friendship .Being a drinking buddy will surely fast track you to becoming a supervisor.I can tell you ,there are supervisors here that cant spell simple words. During high season everything seems fine ,but when times slow down then it gets worse ,as a full time employee you can sometimes do 28 hours per week. The G.M is clueless

Customer Service Associate (Current Employee), Raleigh, NC – August 1, 2012
Pros: co workers are awesome and we have a lot of fun working together
Cons: benefits are noncompetitive, management doesn't seem to care.
I have been with this company for 8 1/2 years and despite my recent college education there is no way to move up in the company unless you want to move out of state. Corporate does not seem to care about what happens at the different locations as long as the money keeps flowing in.

Miserly Enviroment
Line Service Technician (Current Employee), Dallas, TX – June 30, 2012
Pros: some days it's slow.
Short handed shifts, over-favoritism, management biased company, poor general morale among LST's, lowest pay on the field, meager health benefits, (deductible for midrange plan is higher than 1 months salary), acceptable dental/vision plan, finicky chain of command and enforced rules.
