Every business has its own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Lane Bryant?

I just wanted to make this public knowledge becuase I feel that people have the right to know and for the outrage I feel on behalf of a woman that mentored me while working for Lane Bryant. I ask that if you are upset by this please pass it on. I will not use name or places just to be safe.
There is a woman that I know and love that has worked for Lane Bryant for over 60 years. She has been there since her teenaged years and with them through all the changes that have come through. While only an associate she has been a driving force for the youngers girls that have worked with her, myself included.
We have been told that all privalges that she was granted after being grandfathered in to a almost full time status that these rights are being taken away. This is her only job. Through that cluase she was able to have benifits, vacation and life insurances. Things that she needs since it is only her left. She has no one else there to help support her. Both her husband and son have passed o and left her alone.
the worst of this is to our knowledge she was given no warning that this was going to be done to her. And in a way to appease her lane Bryant issued her a check for only $250 dollars when that isn't even what she was paying for benifits in a year.
at a point where Lane Bryant is trying to up their image after the tragity in Chicago this is not the best way to do it. If they can claim the customers as family why then do they treat one of their most loyal employees like they are less then human
