Administration is very ethnocentric, which leads to a secluded circles (cliques), a lack of trust, and a hostile environment. Their lack of cross-cultural training leads to false perception of people that do not fit their cultural paradigm. They treat people in a manner consistent with the false belief. Once the individual responds to said treatment, their false perception is confirmed.
While it is a good feeling to know you are part of an organization that makes a positive contribution to society, the admin staff are self-centered, insecure, concerned with perception versus the actual problems that exist. Opinions are not accepted, "just do your job." Expressing an opinion or disagreeing with someone results in exclusion and a lack of trust towards you.
Also, there exist favoritism, nepotism and preferential treatment of employees. That such degree of politics exists in such a small company is unfortunate
