This position will be responsible for month end close and reconciliations. The candidate will be an integral part of the accounting team in ensuring completeness and accurate transactions, as well as providing supporting details of specific accounts. A Senior Accountant is desired to support the Accounting Manager. The right candidate will have the desire to take ownership of their responsibilities and grow within the department.

  • Inventory accounting including monthly adjustments and reconciliations
  • Accounting for the German business unit including working closely with staff in Germany to answer questions as it relates to their financials
  • Electronically process US sales on a daily basis
  • Prepare month end journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Support the Accounting Manager on ad hoc projects and other requests
  • Manage and reconcile the intercompany balances and elimination process
  • Perform ad hoc research and analysis as requested by management
  • Proactively recommend process improvements and participate in system implementations
  • Calculate inventory and AR allowances, record entries and prepare reconciliations
  • Assist department in audits (internal, SOX, and external)
  • Prepare supporting schedules to assist management in monthly and quarterly reporting


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA or CPA candidate desired (not required)
  • Minimum 5 years of high volume general accounting and month end close experience with increasing level of responsibility over time
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to develop and maintain business relationship at all levels of the organization and with external vendors/clients
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing, fast paced environment. Detail oriented with strong organization skills
  • Candidate should have the desire and ability to work as a team player with a sense of urgency and aspiration for accuracy
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States
