Business Development Coordinator and Assistant, Fenton, MI - January 26, 2016
A typical day at work normally starts off with a staff meeting, going over objections for the day, week and month, and discussing any changes within the dealership, through Ford, or vehicle inventory. From there I assist in assigning and delegating new car internet leads and inquiries from the previous night and that morning. I will typically send anywhere between 50-100 emails, and make 100-150 phone calls per day, among other various clerical tasks, assisting sales representatives and internet managers. I have learned to use my time effectively during work hours, stay on track with tasks at hand, and organize with sales representatives and managers. We work greatly as a team within every department and area of business we conduct, always striving for improvement. At times it can be difficult to coordinate with different personalities and areas of expertise, but working through the challenges helps create a stronger team and staff. Sometimes the hardest part of the job is prioritizing and organizing with different customers and their particular needs, and making sure everything is properly handled and taken care of in a timely manner during chaotic times. It is truly an exciting environment, there is always something new to learn about yourself, your customers, and from your co-workers and work environment. Being able to assist customers and seeing their excitement during and after their vehicle purchase is always such a rewarding feeling.
