Amazing
Volunteer Representative (Former Employee), Ukraine –
I was a missionary so I talked all day with strangers about our Church. It was the best experience of my life.

Volunteer Service Work
President for a Women's Religious Organization (Former Employee), Spanaway, WA –
Pros: visited many women and learned from them.
Cons: complaints from others who want to be in charge.
Wonderful management job which was a non paying 8 plus hour work schedule. Very busy phone work and delegating of assignments and watching over women with needs and personal issues. Learned to appreciate other points of view and well have empathy for others. The hardest part of the job was learning when to compromise and when to hold your ground. Enjoyed – more...  and working with the women and made many friends. Great problem solving job! – less

Excellent community service opportunity for personal growth
Full-time Missionary (Former Employee), Nashville, TN –
Pros: community service, gain vital experience in management, leadership, independence, teamwork, social interaction, accountability, responsibility, etc
Cons: only lasted two years
During my two-year contract, I learned to speak Spanish with the locals in Nashville, TN, spoke with everyone around me, and set in-home appointments daily. I made many new friends, but most importantly I served those who needed service or help of any kind (i.e. moving in/out, cleaning, lawn maintenance, shopping, auto repair, home repair, etc.). These – more...  service opportunities were provided by my leadership and the Mission President of Nashville, TN, with whom I developed a close friendship because of their good nature and friendly concern. – less

More than just the bottom line.
Human Resources (Current Employee), Salt Lake City, UT –
Pros: unified cause, great benefits, comparable pay, working for the church
Cons: shirt and tie in most offices, limited locations
All employees at all grade levels are part of one unified cause. Although it is a job, it isn't just about the bottom line. It is a very rewarding place to work.
