I didn't know if I worked for LeanCor or Whirlpool. The fact is you work for Whirlpool and make LeanCor money. Everything is dictated by Whirlpool from plant operations to the wages.
The company doesn't provide vacation time, instead in provides what is frustration in the form of PTO (Paid Time Off), which is earned, not given. Here's the equation, 40 hours X .01924 = 0.7696 hours, so every 40 hours you work you will receive roughly 45 minutes of PTO (Overtime is not part of the equation). It takes one complete year to receive 40 hours of PTO and here is the kicker - You can only carry over 16 hours into the next year. So if you're planning a week long trip to the Caribbean in February - DON'T! You can but you have to jump through numerous hoops for approval, it won't be paid, and in the end, you lose out on 45 minutes of PTO.
The company preaches safety each and every day, but when you bring up a safety concern, nothing is really done about it, unless Whirlpool is having a tour that day, then we stop everything and fix the issues.
