It is a brand new theme park so there are still a lot of kinks that need to be worked out. But, overall it is a good place to work and a great place to visit for all ages.
A typical day at work varies for me. I am either working inside doing ticket sales and answering guests general questions before they go inside, or I'm at guest services assisting guests with compliments, complaints. or questions. I also am either at the toll booth taking money for parking, in the annual pass building processing and selling annual passes, or in family care; a beautiful and quiet facility for mothers to feed, nurse, and change their children.
I've learned customer service techniques and how to deal with a wide variety of customers on a daily basis, great people skills, and proper cash handling and float building.
My co-workers are great and I love working with them. We bond a lot outside of work and are always balancing laughing and having a good time while working.
Management is ok on most days. But I feel like the only way you can advance in our area is to be liked/admired by the leads and they don't focus or look at the hard work that people do, only the people they like.
The hardest part of the job is dealing with unhappy customers. We always have to find ways and solutions to make the customers experience enjoyable and memorable.
The most enjoyable part is working with enjoyable people and meeting new people every day.
