The Administrative Associate will report to the Office Administrator and Executive Director, and will serve as a full member of the Head Teacher, Executive Director and Administrator Team. His/her responsibilities include maintenance of child and staff records, supervision of office support staff, payroll for all university students, maintenance of the physical office space, community outreach, supporting and working on the ACT Program, fundraising, advertising, technical and web support and maintenance, and support of the teaching staff. The Office Administrator works 40 hours/week. After a one month trial period there is the possibility of a promotion to Office Administrator and a pay increase.
Recent college graduate (Bachelors)
Independent and motivated worker
Good interpersonal skills
Knowledge of computers, web design, and Microsoft Access helpful
Ability to multitask and prioritize

General Information: Opened in 1971, The Center is located in the heart of the campus of Brandeis University and serves as a practicum site for students of Education and Child Development. We are accredited by the NAEYC, and licensed by the Department of Early Education & Care (EEC) to enroll children from the age of fifteen months to six years. The Center has three classrooms and maintains a ratio of 1 adult to 3 or 4 children. Our routine includes extensive programming for community building, celebrating human diversity, loving literature, the arts, early math and for inquiring about the world.
