Let's Play in Spanish is seeking energetic, enthusiastic and committed Spanish teachers for our award-winning classes and curriculum. Positions are available starting in September. You must have some experience working with children, be a native Spanish speaker, and comply with health and background requirements. Most importantly, you must have a passion for teaching, a strong work ethic, willingness to be flexible, and a desire to grow as a teacher yourself. Specific requirements for each position are detailed below.
Let's Play in Spanish is hiring for two positions:
1. In Your School Teachers
We are looking for teachers with flexible schedules to teach classes at local schools. This position is best suited to a high-energy teacher who knows how to engage children and is open to a schedule that may change every few months but pays a higher per-hour rate. You can teach as few as 1 class per week, up to as many as 20 per week depending on your performance, experience, flexibility, availability and so on. All curriculum, materials and training will be provided. We will have openings in the next coming months for Spanish teachers in the South Bay and San Francisco.
2. After School Teachers
Our After School Programs are in various locations in Mountain View. This program has been very popular for children ages 5-6 years old and 7-9 years old. We are looking for a teacher that can start training now to become the lead teacher in September. Paid training provided. Experience working with children from 5 - 10 years old.
- Fluent in Spanish (Excellent Spanish reading, writing, and grammar)
- Great classroom management
- Interface well with parents
- Engaging personality and energy
- Ability to sing and/or play musical instruments a plus
- Theatrical background a plus
- Transportation (preferably own a car)
Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience and flexibility. Minimum 2 and Maximum 20 hours/week.

Let's Play in Spanish was founded by Susy Dorn, a native Spanish speaker from Lima, Peru with a Bachelor's degree in Child Development Education. A teacher, pre-school director, composer, guitarist, and puppeteer, Susy has been teaching Spanish to American children for over 15 years. She has amazing charisma as an emcee and teacher. Her passion and experience led her to found Let's Play in Spanish (LPIS) and to develop its playful musical curriculum. Susy received the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2010 for her passion and dedication to helping children enjoy learning Spanish.
