Ann & Nate Levine Academy, a preschool through Grade 8 Jewish day school in Dallas, TX, is now searching for qualified candidates to fulfill a new position—Educational Technology Director—who will lead the school’s implementation of best technology practices in teaching and learning. This is an exciting time to join the Levine Academy team, as it enters its initial Strategic Planning phase designed to advance the school along its continuum of educational excellence.

The Educational Technology Director supports the faculty’s integration of technology into instruction and advises administration regarding all matters related to programming. Reporting to the Head of School, the Director assesses current resources and practices on campus and leads the development of a multi-year technology proposal that will sustain and promote positive, effective use of technology to support learning.

The most desirable candidates will be excellent communicators who collaborate well with people of all proficiency levels and will have evidenced previous success in integrating technology across school divisions. A solid background in teaching across various grade levels in the K-8 environment will be most suitable. An advanced degree is preferred, in a field related to educational technology and teacher certification.

In addition, the candidate exhibits the following qualities:

  • Experience troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues on Mac and PC
  • Ability to learn new software and hardware systems quickly
  • Ability to keep skills current and stay abreast of emerging technologies
  • Ability to lead meaningful professional development sessions for faculty
  • Ability to work effectively and relate well with others including superiors, colleagues, students, and individuals inside and outside the school
  • Ability to manage fiduciary responsibilities
  • Is an educator at the core
