TLG works with our customers to carefully craft the objective and resource limitations of the IPR. The scope of the IPR is predetermined before the work is begun and an IPR can be scoped to meet a budget limitation. That level of effort might be something on the line of "provide an independent review of the crucial project elements of XYZ projects, not to exceed forty manhours. Another approach is to task TLG to identify the key critical issues that may affect the success of the project, determine the root causes, and offer alternative mitigations.

TLG has completed more than 20 comprehensive IPRs worldwide since 1990. Additionally, we have completed more than 100 task specific or defined level of effort IPRs during this time. Many of these have precipitated corrective actions, saving our customers tens of millions of dollars. As TLG grew in depth and capabilities, our involvement with our clients was sometimes at the highest levels of management. This was a natural evolution, as our tasks became linked to larger projects, and projects more in line with strategic initiatives, such as a new plant for a new or improved product, or a crucial energy development project. The strategic importance and economic impact of these programs and projects linked them in lock step with our customer's corporate success.

Thus, TLG developed a series of seminars and classes that helped establish strategic thinking processes and methods. TLG focused on the concept of "Strategy Down and Plan Up. Our programs enable self motivated creativity and imaginative problem solving.
