About Liberty Bank
The Liberty Bank Foundation was established in 1997 as a means of providing continuous, reliable financial support to non-profit organizations throughout the area served by Liberty Bank. Since then, we have awarded more than $2.1 million in grants to charitable organizations throughout central, eastern, and shoreline Connecticut, for projects relating – more... to community and economic development, education, health, human services, and the arts. Our emphasis in all our grantmaking is on providing basic needs for individuals and families of low or moderate income.
In 1999, the board of directors of Liberty Bank made a commitment to build the Foundation's endowment from $5 million to $10 million through annual contributions from the bank.
