Pros
Helping people

Seeing people being taken advantage of in this business.

Pros
Flexible work hours and time off. Unlimited salary potential.
Cons
Long hours, no reimbursements for mileage or fuel cost. Much more CONS to list.

Insurance Agent (Former Employee) –  Villa Rica, GASeptember 15, 2017
The company is decent and I would recommend it to people who are extroverted, competitive, and not willing to let rejection keep them down. If you can do that, this job is right for you.
Pros
Get to meet people
Cons
Lots of individuals/companies saying no to what is offered

Life Insurance Agent (Current Employee) –  Fort Lauderdale, FLSeptember 14, 2017
Needed to call companies(Pac Calls). Visit business owners. Make appts with clients. Do demos for business owners. Sell life insurance polices. The hardest part of the job was getting in to see the business owner to talk with them. The most enjoyable part of the job was talking with many people a day.
Cons
no vacations, person time, health insurance, or holiday pay.

Insurance Agent - Addison Office (Former Employee) –  Addison, TXSeptember 13, 2017
No compensation for anything and you drive around all day walking in and out of companies trying to sell life insurance. No health benefits and you only get paid when you actually sell insurance and enroll their employees

Insurance Agent (Former Employee) –  Fort Payne, ALSeptember 12, 2017
The typical day began early with making phone calls to prospective customers and current customers to attempt to schedule appointments. Most customers were not interested to meet or phone numbers were bad.
Pros
Work at own pace
Cons
Life Insurance market was flooded with agents in my area.

Very fun, laid back job opportunity. But very likely to work for months with no paycheck since it is ONLY commission based. There is no pay for the hours you put into it.
Pros
laid back

Supervising Agent (Current Employee) –  Columbus, OHSeptember 10, 2017
This is a great career opportunity for those willing to put in the time and effort to collaborate with coworkers and service businesses. This opportunity is a nice blend of sales and management for those who show they can lead and be a role model for excellence. I have found that this opportunity is not meant for everyone, and those who have had a negative experience were not willing to go all-in. Those who are willing to go all-in with a service driven mindset find success 100% of the time. For those who know what it's like to have poor leadership and management will greatly appreciate the Everett Agency and what they bring to the table.

Insurance Agent
Insurance Agent (Former Employee) –  Dothan, ALSeptember 5, 2017
My typical day at Liberty National Insurance consist of calling clients to see if they wanted or needed any type of Insurance. What I learned from working at Liberty National is how to sale insurance and work a good team member. The management was outstanding and they made working there pleasant. During my time at Liberty National the workplace culture was great we had to dress casual on a daily basis. Working at Liberty National there were not hard parts about the job. It was a very easy set up the only issue with the job I would say is the pay. The job pays the agents by commission if a agent does not make any sales we would not be able to take care of families. During my time there the most enjoyable part of the job would be traveling to see the clients to show them a presentation on the different types of insurances we were selling.
Pros
Work on hours
Cons
Paid by commision

Working at Liberty National is a great job. You are helping people to protect families. The culture at the office is great, very supportive of all employees. The company provides excellent training, both in the classroom and in the field. The great part of the job is that your income potential is limited only by your commitment to the system. Insurance is a game of numbers and averages, so if you put in the work, the averages say you will be paid accordingly.

Great people and opportunity for growth. It's 100% commission though so you have to have the funds to survive for the first month or so without a paycheck.

Sales Agent (Current Employee) –  Mobile, ALAugust 27, 2017
It's good and bad at the same time. The work that you put into it typically pays off. Sometimes it doesn't. You have to work really hard to get somewhere. Set some money aside before you start working here. That way, you can waste your time without wasting your money.
Pros
Make your own schedule. Meet with clients of your choice.
Cons
Commission based. Slow season sucks. Lots of gas money involved.
