Good place to work
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Sikeston, MOJuly 19, 2017
I really enjoyed my colleagues, they were all really great people to work along side.

Many snacks, free food for breakfast daily and for lunch once a week.

Depending on where you are coming from, Liberty can be a great place to build your skill set.

Overview
Meter Reader (Former Employee) –  Gainesville, GAJune 12, 2017
As a meter reader you deal with different types of outdoor weather. They do not supply you with the needed supplies however you do have a company truck. You do not receive any paid days off or insurance benefits with this job. It is a very demanding job and often times has long days and weekend work.

Horrible Place to work
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Pine Bluff, ARJanuary 30, 2017
Pay is decent but you do have to be willing to throw all ethical values out the window. No sympathy can be given to customers. Very poor management. Way too many favorites

Stressful and hostile company
Worker (Former Employee) –  South Lake Tahoe, CANovember 1, 2016
If you are a bargaining unit employee you can do whatever you want and get away with it. The management here is understaffed and unqualified. The entire company is hostile. The sole HR employee is too overburdened to resolve the issues. Business practices are bordering unethical. Tons of turnover in this company. Most employees are miserable.

Billing analyst/trainer (Current Employee) –  Jackson, MOSeptember 12, 2016
Decent place to work. At times not open minded, and advancement can be slow. Education does not seem valued by supervisors and salary is somewhat low.

Great company/horrible management
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Pine Bluff, ARSeptember 11, 2016
Liberty Utilities as a company is great along with excellent benefits. The location I worked for was drama filled from day one. The manager at the Pine Bluff office showed favoritism and didn't care about not trying to hide it. There was no room for growth/advancement. There were multiple CSR's so complacent that they stayed in the same position for 10+ years. Not only did you have to deal with rude customers all day you also had to deal with coworkers with horrible attitudes who were allowed to treat you that way because management let it happen.
I didn't get paid enough to deal with the mess I dealt with on a daily basis. Work for the company just run from this location.
Pros
Good benefits, weekends/holidays off, good vacation days
Cons
Horrible manager, drama, favoritism, office politics, no room for advancement

Customer Support Representative (Former Employee) –  New HampshireMay 20, 2016
Poor communication and favoritism runs ramped through the company. With many employees coming from leftover utility companies, new people are excluded. Poor leadership from supervisors, and too much personal talk.
Pros
Good hours, knowledgeable staff
Cons
Low pay, poor work environment, poor leadership

Good paying job for this area
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Jackson, MOMay 4, 2016
This is a good paying job for this area. I personally feel like there is not a lot of job security a back up plan would be a good idea. They hire/fire, and have cutbacks quite often. The breaks are pretty short. Overtime is a requirement to work here.
Pros
Nice management
Cons
Short breaks, no job security

A ship without a captain
Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Londonderry, NHSeptember 2, 2014
It is a company where you get ahead not by what you know but who you know. Ownership is out of Canada and although they preach family values working for President I only once met the owner and he was arrogant. They are only interested in acquiring new utilities and do not care that the systems they have inplace do not work.constantly doing work arounds. Many of the employees work 50 - 60 hours a week and it is expected. Always available because each employee has a blackberry. Very hard to "disconnect" for a weekend.

A good place to work...Slow paced...Not much supervision
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER/SUPERINTENDENT/INSPECTOR (Former Employee) –  Goodyear, AZJanuary 5, 2013
Review work of contractors and suggest changes to comply with plans and specifications.

Management not involved in new construction,

Co workers are average.

Job was easy for me due to my extensive experience.

Hardest part was getting management to understand the work and the reason for quality work.

Pay was comparable for jobs with other companies in the area.
Pros
free to immplement my own work ethic and stay ahead of the contractors.
Cons
many slow days due to recession in the home building.
