Position Description: The Lieber Institute of Brain Development , in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Maryland, is seeking qualified candidates for a support position acting as a liaison between the two institutions Primary responsibilities are to screen medical examiner cases to identify candidates for potential donation to the Lieber Institute and to provide administrative support to the Chief Forensic Investigator of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.
Duties include but are not limited to: assessing bodies for trauma and decomposition, management of Lieber case correspondence, providing quality assurance, developing and providing instruction on death scene investigation, administrative support tasks, and related topics.
Qualifications: The desired applicant should have an interest in mental health research, proficiency with multiple software programs, strong analytical skill and experience in collecting and coding raw data. The applicant should also possess experience that can be proven and validated in: death scene investigation, assessment of traumatic injury, development of training programs and the provision of instruction in a formal and non-formal setting. The ability to multitask and communicate in stressful situations is essential.
Salary and benefits: $40-43,000 annually, with the ability to earn an annual productivity bonus. This is a full time position, and includes health, vision, and dental insurance. Primarily, this is a, day shift position that may require occasional weekend hours. The Lieber Institute is an equal opportunity employer.
