Progressive social service agency serving 150+ individuals located in the north metro area looking for strong human resource specialist with primary focus in recruitment. Must have a practical understanding of social services with a focus on developmental disabilities or related conditions.

Qualified applicants must be able to work under limited supervision, be a self-motivator and:

  • have critical thinking/ judgment, have the ability to read people, independently multi- task and prioritize day-to-day job responsibilities, and have strong organizational skills;
  • have familiarity with job description and how to generalize essential job functions to qualifications;
  • achieve staffing objectives by evaluating applicant job qualifications, conducting effective interviews, analyzing responses and comparing their qualifications to job requirements, and advising front-line supervisors;
  • avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation, employment law, agency policies/procedures/practices and enforcing with front-line supervisors;
  • improve organizational attractiveness by recommending new policies, monitoring job offers, and compensation practices, emphasizing benefits and perks;
  • maintain recruiting resources and relationships;
  • manage employment and training requirements for 200+ employees;
  • create curricula or presentations and conduct agency trainings, and;
  • complete clerical and entry level human resource functions as assigned.

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum 1 year experience in recruiting;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a social services field;
  • Working knowledge of state labor laws, guidelines and human resources functions
  • Strong skills with Microsoft software;
  • Solution oriented and results driven;
  • Excellent spoken and written English, and;
  • Pass an applicant background study and driving record check.

Salary: $27,250 - $32,250 Per Year
